This may not mean anything to anyone else but...

I have finished the final battle scene in my book. I'm pages away from finishing my first draft.
There's a little mini-Thora jumping around gleefully inside of me, and she doesn't even mind that my husband teased me for crying over imaginary deaths.

(Oh and sorry, writing and getting my head around all the crazy personal stuff that has happened lately has rather kept me from blogging.)

WOW Thora, that's awesome! What type of book is it? My dh wrote a science fiction book a few years back. he said it took a LONG time. That's a great acomplishment, hopefully you are able to get it published!

Thanks!

It's fantasy, and yeah, it has taken a few years. Lots of love and hard work, the research is killer. It's set amidst historical events, so I know a lot more about the Roman Empire than I ever did before, lol. My favorite part is losing myself in that world for hours at a time, instant vacation!

Yippee! Glad to hear from you, and I totally understand about the blogging break, isn't it so nice that we can go our own paces in life sometimes? That doesn't mean I won't poke sometimes if I miss hearing from you, but it's all OK! Congrats on your story! I hope I can read it someday! So what's your pen name?

Pen name.... still debating on that. Most of those get ratted out anyway. I have thought seriously about publishing under my maiden name though, but who knows. I still have to do a second draft, get a book agent (which I hear is a project in and of itself), and wait for a publisher to pick it up. It's daunting to say the least.

Pseudonym? I personally like Flossie McHotstuph for you.

So all of this is loosely translated to means I will have to wait longer to read anything UGH! Your killing me, Flossie!
