Just in case anyone is waiting to hear, I got my first form rejection letter today. I'm going to do a bit more research and then submit elsewhere.
And no, I'm not depressed, really, just ready to take the next step. Plus... I'm cooking two other books, lol.

I am sorry to hear that you got your first rejection. But I am also glad that you are 2 steps ahead :) as always You are in my prayers.
Well, bummer. But you've gotten through another milestone too. You will never get your first rejection letter again. Good luck with your next publisher and your other 2 books!
Oh my gosh! I am sorry! Didn't they read it?!! Oh well, it is thier loss and they will regreat it someday.
Sorry that was my delete it was atrocious and unintelligible. SO here's the rewrite:
Well their loss. Now you will have an awesome story to tell on Good Morning America when you become famous and rich and they are interviewing you about the process and the journey. You can tell this story about your first rejection and those who rejected your book and then you bacame famous .... wonderful! Save the letter. It may be worth thousands one day. Luv u gerl.
They are crazy. But Remember Dr. Suess was rejected 27 times. And you are going to be even bigger than him!
You are all so sweet.
I haven't sent it back out yet, not really because I'm scared, but because I am now 36k words into another world and I'm having to much FUN! This book is just flying out of my fingers!
